Friday April 16, 2021

The Kick off meeting for TACCESM Work Package 2 took place on Friday April 16 from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm. It took place online on Microsoft Teams.

The first part of the meeting was dedicated to the presentation of the new list of courses from each partner university. Specifically each university presented a list of courses that need to be modernized at Bachelor and Masterโ€™s level as well as new courses to be implemented both at Bachelor and Masterโ€™s level. These courses where for both Architecture and Civil engineering curricula. The presentations where interesting and each university was able to present and explain their needs within each single curricula.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to the presentation from each EU university of their own equipment. The presentations were extremely informative. Many universities presented in detail innovative equipment that represent the โ€œstate of the artโ€ in architectural and civil engineering education. The presentations concentrated on both physical spaces such as classrooms, design and fabrication labs, etc. and on equipment used for teaching and research. A lot of attention was dedicated to equipment used during the pandemic situation and how Covid 19 has affected architectural education.

Finally, the entire schedule and list of activities related to WP2 was presented and widely discussed. Many concerns arose from the pandemic situation and how to imagine innovative alternatives to the scheduled trips and workshops planned I this package.

The meeting ended with a wide discussion among all the participants on the entire project, its early evolution, its future developments and the wide range of possibilities that the project itself might present.
